Within the last two weeks, we have been out in the field for Blue Hat Bow tie for colorectal cancer awareness  in ( Petersburg, VA) talking and educating the community on the essence and importance of getting screened and checked up.

According to the World Health Organization, Colorectal Cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide and can cause severe harm. It is often diagnosed at advanced stages limiting treatment options and sometimes chances of survival.

One way to avoid late screening is to know your family health history, pay more close attention to the following symptoms: Change in bowel habits, blood in or on your stool, diarrhea, constipation, unexplained weight loss etc.

Don’t wait! See your doctor and get your butt checked! If you’re above the age of 45, you also need to get checked to know the position of your health.

Global Colon Cancer Association, thank you for supporting our Blue Hat Bow Tie for Colorectal Cancer Awareness.

On Saturday, TRIALS OF COLOR hosted a Colon Cancer Blue Hat and Tie event, an informative event in Richmond to raise awareness about colon cancer. It was a great opportunity for the community to learn about the importance of early screening and treatment for this preventable disease.

Colon cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States, but with regular screenings, it can be detected early and treated effectively. Events like this one are crucial in spreading awareness and encouraging people to prioritize their health.

Thank you to the Global Colon Cancer Association for supporting this outreach  and to everyone who attended and participated in the event. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against colon cancer. Let’s continue to educate ourselves and others about the importance of early detection and treatment.
