Andrew Sidawy

Andrew Sidawy

President

Andrew is a senior at the University of Maryland where he is majoring in Physiology & Neurobiology and minoring in General Business. Andrew is on the Pre-Med track and has experience working as both medical and research assistants, where he engages with and learns from patients from various backgrounds.

While he was always interested in medicine, his mom’s experience with breast cancer ultimately solidified his desire to pursue becoming a physician. In a time that was filled with uncertainty and fear, watching his mom’s physicians work tirelessly to help her filled Andrew with hope that his mom would be okay. Thanks to early detection and quality treatment, his mom was able to beat her cancer- reinforcing TOC's mission of saving lives through providing equitable access to healthcare. Andrew is honored to have co-founded the UMD chapter of TOC, serving first as Director of Fundraising and now as President.
